Spanish e- coffee... with Talentor Italy

In Servitalent, as Talentor Spain we created this initiative called “Spanish e-coffee...” as a team building activity that aims to increase knowledge and integration between the teams of different nationalities with the objective of improving our international recruitment services within Talentor International.

This time, our “Spanish e- coffee with…” was with our partners from Talentor Italy (MCS Selection), letting us have the opportunity to interview their CEO Gianluca Gioia, about the important factors to consider when looking for talent in Italy and about their experience working with the local Spanish market. Here’s what he share with us:

Ciao Gianluca, tell us a little bit about Talentor Italia!

  • We are 10 people, our HQ is in Rome, 60% of the team is remote in the north Italy. We offer to the market 3 services: Headhunting, Human Capital services, Talent development.
  • Our clients are both, big and small/medium sized companies. Our focus is on quality, excellence. MCS was founded by my father in 1977, so this brand is very well known in Italy. Part of Talentor since march 2021.

What would you say are the most important factors to consider for a foreign company when looking for talent in Italy? What important aspects should you consider before starting the search (culture, legislation, salary policies, mobility, social benefits, etc)?

  • There is not only one labour market, but many… depending on which part of Italy and what kind of company the company is considering. There are many entrepreneurial companies, sometimes global excellences in their sector, but de-localized respect to the main cities. It becomes fundamental to know the culture and the mobility for each position.

What are the most demanded positions by foreign companies in the Italian market?

  • Country Manager, BD Manager/Sales Manager, Plant director.

Which sectors are you specialized in?

  • Industry and insurance/banking.

And finally, could you tell our clients and followers about your experience in the Spanish market?

  • We worked with some clients passed by our (previous) partner. I know there are at least 2 different markets (Barcelona and Madrid)…but probably the same situation as in Italy.
